Chairish Room Challenge
I was recently contacted to participate in a room challenge by Chairish, have you heard of them? It's a super cool site where you can buy and sell furniture. This is a dream come true for my unhealthy mid century modern obsession! The challenge was to take an accent chair found on their site and design a whole room around it fitting in the theme "White to Bright." Again, total dream! My whole apartment is "White to Bright." I envision this room with white walls and the furniture and accessories adding all the color! Below is what I came up with.

Mason's Camping Party
There you have it Mason's fun little camping party! We did everything ourselves (with help from our families). My dad made the tent following this tutorial. Instead of a cake I made S'mores cupcakes, inspired by this pin. The party favor was inspired by this pin. I bought the flashlights here. The 8ft banner and large bear poster were surprisingly affordable ($15 for both). I had them printed on a large format plotter in black and white (what they print blueprints on) and colored in the tent with crayons. I found the red wrapping paper that's covering the boxes on the table at Target, on Clearance for $2 right after Christmas (it kind of was the jumping off point for this party). My mom brought salad and fruit, and I made all the goodies with help from my mother-in-law. The s'more pops were a huge hit (inspired by this pin)! Instead of using the normal jumbo marshmallows, I used the GIGANTIC ones and they were absolutely delicious (make some, you won't be sorry). For entertainment we had bubbles and balls for the kids to play with, and the adults chatted and played a frisbee game called can jam. I love how it all turned out, it was casual, fun, and pretty low stress. I hope this inspires you for your next party!
**UPDATE** THE INVITATION, BEAR POSTER, AND PARTY BANNER ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON ETSY!

The Big 0-1
So Mason had an awesome party in California on Saturday. In fact, it was so great we decided to stay for the week! I thought today I would share a few pictures of him from his party and give you a little Mason update and then next week I'll be sure to share all the party details (there will even be a little DIY for you).
Mason is now one and is such a joy! He is way too much fun. He loves to walk now, open drawers and pull EVERYTHING out, take walks, watch Yo Gabba Gabba, and he likes to make us laugh. His new thing is spitting while he has food in his mouth, which he thinks is hilarious! It kind of is
Until his party we hadn't given Mason any sugar, and I think it is easy to see how he feels about it now!
Want some?
Mason loved opening presents and got some pretty sweet stuff!
He received a ton of books (which I am really excited about) including a quiet book from Auntie Lollie. Cool right?
Mason also discovered his new found love for sword fighting. I am just praying that this doesn't turn into a "thing."
I hope your weekend was fun like ours and I hope this week is even better! See you next Monday!

Gingerbread Party
Yesterday we had a few friends over to for a little gingerbread house party, it's sort of becoming a tradition for us. This is a really fun and simple idea if you want to throw one yourself. We had each couple bring their own house and a candy to share. We bought our kit from Target this year and it came with EVERYTHING! It had pre-made white royal icing as well as red and green and all the candy you would need. This kit did not have the house pre- assembled so we tried to assemble it our selves and it was sort of an epic fail. Our icing did not harden quick enough so while we were still trying to assemble it one side fell and broke in half. We never did get the roof to stay on (it's resting on the wall just for this picture).
The hubs decorated the roof pieces separately and I decorated a wall and a half (not my finest work).
Needless to say our house is a disaster but the party was a success! No one finished their houses but we had great conversation AND Jon and I were "psychoanalyzed." Here's a few mor pictures of our little home.
Tomorrow I'll be sharing our Christmas cards here so be sure to check back then!

Holiday Entertaining Part 2
As I told you last post, I love to entertain, partly because it gives me an excuse to decorate (who doesn't love an excuse to decorate?). I also enjoy creating an experience for my guests with little treats on their plates, or fun place cards. Today I'm sharing some printables that match the Thanksgiving Feast Invitation to help you to give your guests a little something different this Thanksgiving. It's called the Give Thanks Party Pack. Click the link below to download.
GIVE THANKS PARTY PACK DOWNLOAD
In the party pack are a few fun little details to add to your Thanksgiving Feast, including place cards.
Also included in the pack are gift tags. Wouldn't it be so to find a mini loaf of pumpkin bread on your plate? You could also use the place cards as gift tags.
When you download the party pack you will also muffin/ dessert toppers. You could stick these in any dessert, (everyone's slice of pie maybe? so cute!)
I hope you enjoy the free party pack download, I know your guests will.
Tomorrow I'll be sharing another place setting idea that I used last year for our family Thanksgiving. Tomorrow is the last day to enter the giveaway, so be sure to hop on over to the Facebook page and enter to win some holiday cards.

Holiday Entertaining
Thank you to everyone who has entered the holiday card giveaway (if you haven't, there is still time). It's so fun to see which your comments about holiday cards are you favorite.
I think one thing people probably don't know about me is that I love to entertain. I'm always trying to come up with some reason to have people over or to throw a party, especially if it involves designing an invitation for the event. I think every great party needs a great invitation to start with, so that's why today I've created a little Thanksgiving Feast invitation for you to download. (click below)
There are 2 per page on a white background so you can print on whatever color paper you like (I think mine will be on cream, or a white shimmer).
I hope you'll use it for your up coming feast, and I hope you'll come back tomorrow for some place setting ideas and to see what other goodies I've got up my sleeve!
The Thanksgiving Feast invitation is for personal use only and may not be redistributed or sold. For other uses please ask for permission. I would love to be featured on other blogs but, if you mention the invitation in a blog or other forms, please link back to this post.
